Coalition Against Period Poverty

What is the Coalition Against Period Poverty?

The Coalition Against Period Poverty works on assuring that all menstruators have free and dignified access to menstrual products in schools, shelters, jails, and public facilities. Flow Justice, a sub-committee of CAPP, provides access to menstrual hygiene products and educates youth and adults on menstrual health, access, and equity.

Our Mission & Vision

The mission of CAPP is to end the shame and stigma surrounding periods, as well as to make period products more affordable and accessible. Talking about periods and ending the taboos that surround them, means that we can better equip every menstruator with the products and information they need to manage their periods effectively, without shame or embarrassment.

How You Can Help

Join us in the fight for menstrual equity and ending period poverty!

Join the Coalition! CAPP meets the first Thursday of the month via Zoom at 10:00 a.m. Email Wendy Garf-Lipp to join the coalition and receive the Zoom link.

Donate new, closed boxes of pads, tampons, or menstrual underwear, cups or discs to be distributed to those in need. Drop off donations at United Neighbors of Fall River, 209 Bedford Street, Suite 303.

Take the pledge to stand against period poverty and create an effective change in our community by providing free menstrual products in your organization’s public and/or staff restrooms.

Write your State Reps and Senators to co-sponsor H.534 & S.1381: An act to increase access to disposable menstrual products.

If you have any questions or want to get involved, contact Wendy, [email protected] at United Neighbors of Fall River.

Working together we can change the cycle!
